Help save this little kitten!

On October 17, my aunt discovered this little guy just after he'd been hit by a car on a busy street in Covina. She quickly scooped him up and rushed him to the vet where they discovered, after x-rays, that both of his hips were crushed. There are no other injuries and he is an otherwise healthy 5-month-old kitten, which means that successful surgery on his hips would result in a normal, pain-free life for him. Without it, he would be hopelessly crippled and unable to walk. She can't stand the thought of putting down this litte guy when the surgery would allow him a to live a happy life, but at $3,000, it's a bit out of our means. Just a few dollars each from our friends and family would go a long way toward paying for his surgery and after-care. There must have been a reason that she found herself in the right place at the right time - and now this sweet, talkative kitten is depending on us to survive. There are no time limits on this campaign, so any funds received will go to repaying a loan we're taking out to cover the surgery. We're hoping the surgery will happen this week, at Cypress Animal Hospital in Covina. Anything raised beyond the cost of the surgery will help to provide premium food and toys for this special kitten. Can you help?
