The Borehamwood Times has launched an appeal to raise £4,000 to kick start the Funky Friendz, the first ever all-inclusive youth club for seven to 12-year-olds in the town.
The project is being run by grandmother Kelly Kent and mother Michelle Jonas, who hope to have it up and running in Aberford Hall, in Brook Road, by September 2015.
But they need the money to help them break-even and pay for Ofsted registration, CRB checks, insurance costs and hall hire for the next year.
