CJ's Trip to Ohio for Treatment

CJ is a smart, funny, energetic 3 year old little boy who has been batteling a  life threatening disease from the day he was born. The name of this horrible disease is Hirschsprungs disease. People with this disease are born without the cells in their intestines that tell your body to go to the to the bathroom. CJ's first surgery was when he was just a week old. Since then he has had over 20 surgeries and even more procedures to try to make it so he can go to the bathroom. He has endured countless painful test and multiple terrifying procedures to allow him to empty his bowels. In order for CJ to use the bathroom now his father and I must force him using a tube that is attached surgecially in his intestines. It's a very unpleasant experience for us all but mostly for CJ as we must hold him down and the solution we inject him with causes painful cramps. CJ has been hospitalized multiple times with enterocolitis, a life threatening infection in the intestines that when it spreads into his blood stream makes our happy baby turn into a limp doll laying on deaths door. We have seen our son like this too many times. Carlos and I have made many sacrifices in order to help CJ but we are running out of options.  This hospital and doctor in Ohio is our last hope. We have always been very private about what CJ's actual disease is but we are sharing his story in hopes that it will inspire you to reach out and help us help CJ. There is no way weare going to be able to fund the trips to Ohio on our own. We are asking very humbly  for your help.
