The Dr. Cherng J. Guh Memorial Fund
This fund is in memory of Dr. Cherng J. Guh, M.D. (6/20/1955 - 2/3/2012): beloved father, true patriot, loving brother, kind friend, and peace-loving global citizen. He passed away due to a sudden stroke at the age of 56. His entire life was dedicated to the joy and service of those around him. Just a few months before his passing, Dr. Guh embarked on a medical service trip to the country of Nepal, where he provided free healthcare and medicine to over 1000 patients, including the elderly, disabled, and students. He eventually wanted to return to his parents\' homeland of mainland China and become a medical missionary.
In memory of his altruistic heart and big dreams of a peaceful, ideal world, this page has been created to raise funds for causes near and dear to his heart, specifically service and volunteerism, maternal/geriatric health, and religious freedom in China.
For now, the CJGMP will focus on service and volunteering non-profit organizations related with China and/or overseas Chinese communities. Currently there are two candidates as partnering organizations: the Internation Cultural Educational Foundation (ICEF), and Cross-Cultural Solutions (CCS). As the Memorial Project grows, so will the list of partnering organizations. Please visit their websites for more information:
