Help our sick cat Lizzy

Hi! This is Lizzy, a lovely 14 year old cat, and she's owned by my boyfriend's parents who have retrieved Lizzy from the animal sanctuary almost 14 years ago.
Lizzy is a very sensitive cat and has difficulty to adapt to new surroundings.
She prefers to be alone, although she has lived together with a another cat named CJ for the past 3 years.
This turned out pretty good, they just walk eachother out of the way.
Recently my boyfriend and I saw Lizzy's health getting a lot worse. She lost a lot of weight in a short time, just sitting the whole day under the stairs without eating or drinking.
Yesterday we went to the vet, where it became clear she's under the fleas and her whole skin is irritated she's very malnutritioned and this likely has a connection with her thyroid condition. She received flea drops and a syringe for the irritated skin.
The vet recommended a blood test to begin investigations to search for the core of the problems. This costs 200 dollars and we sadly don't have that amount of money...
We told the parents what the vet has let us now, so whe hoped his parents want to help pay her blood search.
But instead, they told us we never had to go to the vet, cause Lizzy is not worth it. (to much work)
Now my Boyfriend and I are sad, cause we want to help Lizzy. That's the reason why we are here, to get some support of you guys. Whatever the test will tell us what she have, she always need to have medication all her life long. And that's very pricey..
We unfortunaly do not have this much money, we dont want that lizzy is suffering. Who want to help Lizzy get better, so she has a nice future in front of her. Without blood research we dont now what shes really got, so she dont get the medicines she needs.
And if nobody would help her, she will not live a half year from now. Who is willing to help us to give Lizzy her life back, every animal deserves to be happy.
