Quadriplegic Al Neumann needs help

Al Neumann, a lifelong resident of Troy, MI was injured in a diving accident in 1991 deeming him a quadriplegic. He now has to depend on others to do everything for him. Besides the physical & psychological challenges Al conquers, a more pressing obstacle continues to mount. Costs associated with life as a quadriplegic are astronomical. Many bills and necessities are not covered by insurance. For example, a caregiver for just a few hours a day, costs over $1,500 a month. In the last 18 months Al has also been hospitalized or put on bed rest several times resulting in lost wages.
Al needs your help! One of the largest & most expensive items needed for Al is his hydraulic lift van. Al depends on this van to make it to work and it is in desperate need of a new lift and several repairs as it is becoming unreliable and at times unsafe. Al is also in need of a new wheelchair. The good news is that his insurance just approved him for a wheelchair; however his co-pay will total $10,000 - $15,000. To help with van, the wheelchair and medical expenses we have set a goal to raise $40,000. A fundraising event is set for February 28, 2015 but are trying this website as another means of trying to help. We really need your help. This is a big goal and we can reach that goal, but only with YOUR help.
