The GMO Controversy Documentary
This documentary is the first film from The Walk a Mile Project, via nonprofit organization Change The World Films.  The film's focus is to uncover the truth about the genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in our food supply, an extremely widespread, nearly worldwide issue that needs to be clarified and resolved as soon as possible.  If you're not yet aware of the GMO Situation, and why it's something we need to investigate further, our free PDF can help:

Our research is already well underway, which you can keep up with via our blog and the GMO TRUTH podcast, both over at www.walkamileproject.com. The GMO TRUTH podcast is also syndicated (available on iTunes, etc.)

Two important points...
First, our mission with this film, and any film we work on at The Walk a Mile Project, is to discover the truth and change the world.  We don't have any alternative agenda, ulterior motive, etc.  If you're interested in finding the truth with us, then we hope you'll support us and help us make a difference (that's why we're a nonprofit).  Your voice is as big as anyone's, and you can land a very big impact just by spreading the word and helping us get the truth out there.

That said, at the center of this entire project is one very important treasure that's lost most of the time in the current GMO situation: the voice of reason.  If you're expecting to find us screaming that we're all going to die terrible deaths instantly tomorrow from GMOs, or that everything is completely fine and we have absolutely no cause for concern, well... you might be in the wrong place.  We're here to carefully, meticulously, and accurately expose the truth, and communicate it so clearly that EVERYONE can agree.  That's our job. Sensationalism, panic, or turning a blind eye to the truth, well... all those things are already happening right now elsewhere and in abundance.  They will not happen here.

If that resonates with you, then we really hope you'll join our project in any way you can, whether that's here with our GoFundMe campaign, over via other methods over at The Walk a Mile Project.

WHY THE GMO CONTROVERSY?
We selected the GMO situation as our first focus for several reasons, but here are two of the primary factors:

1. Their Widespread Use.  GMO use in agriculture has reached nearly worldwide proportions, despite the constant controversy surrounding them since before they even hit the marketplace.

Our latest infographic - download the full PDF and stay up-to-date on the project here

2. An Incessant Controversy.
The blatant dichotomy between the pro-GMO and anti-GMO contingents makes the truth nearly impossible to decipher. Corporations, governments, scientists, activists, press... there is opposition within each sector, all around the world. It’s time to tune out all the noise and start asking the right questions -- the questions that lead us to the truth.

ABOUT THE WALK A MILE PROJECT
The Walk a Mile Project is a long-term, multi-phase documentary film and multimedia project designed to help solve one crucial, worldwide problem at a time. Each phase lasts approximately 18-24 months, with a laser-focus on one specific issue per phase. We tackle problems and controversies where a search for the truth can bring the issue to its tipping point... where asking the right questions, deep research and investigative, truth-focused film-making, combined with critical thinking and the voice of reason, can step in and take the problem at hand well on its way to resolution.

To accomplish this, we do more than make a film – we build and engage our audience before the film-making process even begins. We leverage multiple media formats (blogs, articles, podcasts, videos, etc.) across multiple syndication and social networks, expanding our content’s reach and publishing our work to any corner of the world where the problem in our cross-hairs exists or may potentially exist.

Finally, we build trust with our audience, and within that trust framework, we deliver solutions. When we bring a research sequence to its conclusion, we offer exact steps that our audience can take to help right the wrong... to help resolve the problem. That’s how we work to change the world, by exposing crucial, hidden truths for everyone to see, and by empowering individuals around the globe to do the little things it takes to make actual change happen. We don’t run on agendas. Our only agenda is discovering the truth.
