Free Pride is a Glasgow based LGBTQIA+ community group set up in 2015. Free Pride grew out of the need to provide an alternative to mainstream, commercialised pride events, instead providing a free, accessible and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ people across Scotland.
This year we're back with another inclusive and fun alternative to Pride Glasgow- but we need your help to make it happen!
We'll be holding another full day event on the 19th August, with performers, stalls, workshops and talks focusing on the issues our community feels are important. And we'll also have one of our infamous club nights with DJs, performers and lots and lots of dancing.
In order for Free Pride to be as inclusive and accessible as possible, we need to raise money for an accessible venue, BSL interpreters, as well as general organising costs such as publicity materials and performer costs.
Every little helps, so if you are able to donate, please do! However, there are plenty of other ways to get involved and support us without giving money. You can support Free Pride by coming to our meetings, organizing an event or fundraiser, offering a skill such as design or performance, or just showing support on Facebook and attending our events.
