At 50 I find myself living in state where driving is necessary to have the full vibrant life I was born to live. Spending most of my life in NYC public transportation did the trick but due to physical challenges and the inability to use the limited local public transportation options I find myself often living in isolation and unable to do the things necessary to improve my life.
I have a passion and dream to make a difference in this world and I NEED to serve! I am a people person I crave a community. I am ready to get healthy and want to get to the gym and places where I can get the healing help necessary to take back my life, like physical therapy and the chiropractor.
When I chose to move to PA I was all prepared to learn to overcome my fear of driving, do the thing that scared me most, and step into my power. The day after I moved here, after purchasing a car, I had a grand mal seizure. I had to table my independence and wait to create the life here I wanted to live. Now that I am seizure free and capable of learning to drive I find myself temporarily without the funds to get the lessons and the help I need to deal with my phobia of driving. I am ready to work as hard as it takes to make it happen but I need help.
I want to be able to start to build a social community, have fun, go to the gym, go to the store, volunteer, network, do public speaking, find more clients, spend time in nature and so many other things. I don’t want to be a prisoner of my home. This girl just wants to have fun and live a real abundant life. I have too many people to get out and help, too many adventures and opportunities waiting for me to experience.
I know there are people with heart-wrenching stories who need your support and I hope you can find ways to help them too. I am asking for a chance to make the second half of my life the best half of my life. I am asking for a chance to make a difference and earn a livable income. I am asking for independence and freedom.
The money you donate will cover my lessons ( which will be many because of my fear), and extra training/counseling so I can become a fearless safe driver, you will be on the road too, that will help you as well. It will cover costs of getting my license and initial insurance payment.
I ask if you can give even $1 to help me move towards my dream of independence then I can know that I will get there one dollar at a time. “Inch by inch is a cinch, yard by yard is hard.” So give whatever is in your heart to give and if you cannot give that is OK too. PS. Please don’t let my nephew get his license before me! (He is 16 argh!, Just Kidding I wish him the best!)
