Hi there!

Do you remember mad libs and legos and how much fun they were?

My name's Harper

and I'm a design student in a master's program. This spring, I would like to graduate art school with flying colors and work towards a promising career through getting exposure with my thesis!

My thesis is like legos meets mad libs meets the iPad.
The product is a story-telling platform that includes a customizable toy and a companion app that creates different stories based on the interaction with the toy.

My goal with this thesis is to

1_provide an engaging activity that is designed well to appeal to both parents and children.

2_introduce an idea that is mobile and can keep the conversation going even outside of the home

3_show that creativity strengthens relationship. What is imagined can be experienced in both the digital and analog world

4_bridge the controversial gap between an increasingly digital world and the importance of analog play

I hope that this will become an actual and viable product that can encourage change in the way busy modern parents and children play together. In order to do so, my prototypes must be made as close to the real thing as possible.

My biggest hurdle is budget and since I am working within a short time frame, manufacturers and app developers are costly. As an art student, I have little funds, but a whole lot of ambition! Your contribution will help pay for these toys as well as other costs that development will incur. However, I will promise you great outcome!

So where does your money go?

I need funds in order to do two things:

2_develop a mobile application that will interact with the toy
