Funds for Fostering Family
Tax deductible
Meet Patrick and Megan Canizares—a lovely, local family who is in the process of becoming a foster family through FaithBridge. They are currently in need of a bedroom to place a foster child. Originally, what is now the master suite in their home, was 2 bedrooms. Part of the dividing wall was removed by the former owner to make it a larger master suite. Patrick and Megan desire to have the wall finished again to divide the rooms. This will give them a smaller master bedroom and a separate bedroom for the foster child.
We are starting this campaign to help the Canizares family receive the funds they need to create a wall divider so they can have room to foster a child who desperately needs someone to love and care for them. The family had done some fundraising to have a local organization aid in building a wall between the master bedroom and the guest room so they could take in sibling sets if needed. Their eldest daughter, Hannah (9), had offered to give up her room if needed and share with her sister so they could help more than 1 child at a time, but the ministry slated to assist in the wall construction has backed out.
This money will go towards completing this room with purchasing materials, helping with the labor costs, the required emergency safety ladder and carbon monoxide detectors to get the room ready. Due to some health issues, Patrick is unable to do heavy manual labor and is usually needing to rest after being on his feet at work all day, but Megan is ready and willing to help do the work needed.
Although Patrick has faced some health issues and there are extra out-of-pocket costs for fostering a child, this family truly believes that fostering children is their calling from God. The sooner we can raise money to get the wall built, the sooner their home will be approved to foster a child, and the sooner a foster child will be placed in a loving, Christian home.
Join us today in supporting this wonderful family and their future foster child!
Sincerely,
Rob Dunagan
