On January 29, 2017, my mom and dad started their Monday just like any other Monday. They a woke to go shopping for the restaurant they've owned together for 20+ years.
In most recent years help has been few and she hasn't had full time staff. So some days it's just her and my dad cooking and my mom also doubling as a waitress. This is my parents life and lively hood.
With my dad in hospital the restaurant will be closed for the foreseeable future. This had also been a wake up call, they can't keep going as a duo anymore. The restaurant will be put up for sale. My mother would never ask so I am until she can take care of the business, I need to make sure she can survive with the onslaught of medical and normal life bills headed her way. I need to make sure that she is ok for the interim.
