Please Help With Specialist Care

Donation protected

Montana was born with distichiasis (a dual set of eyelashes) and no eye lids.  The stiff fur has poked into her eyes with out that lid to protect it causing irritation, ulcers and eventual blindness - but we can fix that with your help, and give her a painfree life.

She went to see the eye specialist at BVSC to figure out a solution to help her retain her sight.

It was determined that she requires surgery to perform an eyelid agenesis - basically they freeze the fur along the top of the eye to cease its growth so it stops poking in where normally an eyelid would would protect it . This should correct the problem, and Montana will be able to lead a normal happy life.

Montana:
Ford came to BFF from the Warwick Pound with several other cats who were about to be euthanised.  He was diagnosed with a heart murmur at about 4 months of age.

Ford has 3 seperate issues with his heart - 1. dynamic left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, 2. systolic anterior motion of the mirtal valve, 3. moderate right ventricular outflow tract obstruction - which in laymans terms means he has blockages within his heart and his heart has to work harder to pump blood around his body - so much harder that it's classed as a grade 4 murmur.

Each year he needs an echocardiograph which tells the speciailist (and us) of any changes within his heart.

Ford:

Nell came to BFF from Lowood where several mothers had been abandoned, and we assisted with their 4 litters and desexing the mums.  She was diagnosed with a heart murmur at about 4 months of age.

Nell has a ventricular sepral defect of moderate size - in laymans terms this means her central heart wall has a hole in it which causes her heart to work harder - so much harder that it's classed as a grade 4 murmur.

Each year she needs an echocardiograph which tells the speciailist (and us) of any changes within her heart.

Nell:

These gorgeous kitties deserve to have the best of specialist care as soon as possible, and with your help, we can.

All up, these 3 beautiful felines specialist vet costs come in at almost $1900, so we are asking you to please help us to help them.
