Our FurBaby Needs Help!

World, meet Nellie. Nellie is a four year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you will ever meet. She became a part of our family when my wife and I got married in June of 2013, and has been the perfect little "FurBaby."
Last week, Nellie experienced a fairly significant injury. Meghan and I came home from work to find Nellie limping around the house, with no immediate explanation. Her vet diagnosed her with a torn ACL, which was confirmed by a surgeon several days later.
This injury has a huge impact on Nellie. She is an incredibly active dog, who finds playing ball and going on hikes to be some of life's greatest joys. To see her debilitated like this has been heartbreaking, and we want to provide her with the best possible quality of life.
In order to help her most effectively, and after discussing all options with the vet, we would want to have Nellie undergo TPLO surgery. This has the best chance of restoring full function to her legs. As a four year old dog, she still has the majority of her life ahead of her. It is our goal to give her the best quality of life possible, and spare her the pain that comes with a lifelong disability.
The total cost of the procedure is $3007. This includes all pre-op procedures, the surgery itself, and all post-op checkups. With Meghan still in school and working several jobs myself, we simply cannot cover this whole expense on our own. Any donation to help our little Nellie would be recieved with utmost gratitude.
