John Sands' Memorial Fund

My dad, John Sands, of Elephant Butte, NM, has unfortunately passed away. We (my fiance Kit, my son Nicholas, and I) will be dropping everything to drive out there from Lansdowne, PA as soon as possible. John was 57, and he loved fishing, his motorcycle, and us. One of his hobbies was rock tumbling to make jewelry, and he made many friends that way. I'm thankful that he found a peaceful place to settle down in New Mexico, and I only wish we had been out there with him.

This is very sudden and tragic news for us, as we've been trying to move out to NM to be closer to my dad. I'm thankful for the few days my son got to spend with him the last time we were out there, and already starting to feel the lasting effects of them not having more time together.

Unfortunately, we've had our hardest year ever, and we really need some help with covering the costs of going out to New Mexico and handling my dad's arrangements. Any help at all would be very greatly appreciated. We're planning to head out there on borrowed money in the next couple days, and honestly anything will help us right now.
