Rachael's Breast Cancer Fund

This September was supposed to be filled with tears of joy as Rachael and Leon dropped their baby off to Kindergarten. It should have been  a time to enjoy the last long days of summer before the leaves fall and homework starts.  However, instead of enjoying these joyful moments news came home that brought different tears- tears of sadness, fear, anger, and worry.  Rachael was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer. In addition to worrying about her 16 year old driving and entering his junior year of high school (a the year SAT scores and of college applications), she in now also worrying about paying medical bills. In addition to playing cars and reading with her 5 year old, she is also worrying about how she will manage to put dinner on the table. 

The cancer was discovered early and she is in great hands. It's not a matter of 'if' she will manage to get through this uphill battle because Rachael is one of the strongest, most courageous, and optimistic women alive. It's a matter of 'how.'
