Excess Skin "Remove The Flab!" Surgery

Donation protected
My name is Anna and for the last year and a half I've lost a whopping 110 pounds "“ healthily and through a medical advised diet and exercise. Furthermore I've lost over 110 inches and dropped ten pants size! That's an average teenager.

I can't describe or explain in words how proud I am of what I have accomplished and what new doors life has opened up for me. However, now after hitting my healthy weight and working out harder (more into weight lifting to tone up my body) the excess skin around my body has started to become a personal problem.; my stomach flab being the main issue.

Over the last several months the excess skin around my stomach began chaffing my stomach. If this continues, no matter how much chaffing cream, bandages, whatever I do to stop it "“ it'll get infected and can even begin leaving scars. If getting an infection wasn't bad enough try fighting it without having white blood cells, and boom "“ my biggest concern. My body doesn't already produce enough white blood cells, so when I get sick it gets a lot worse and last a lot longer than usual (which is no bueno).

I found a plastic surgeon nearby and made a consultation and went in on January 29, 2014 to see what was available for my situation. He was extremely nice, very informative, and was recently ranked high on the Dallas Magazine Top Plastic Surgeon's list. After going over my body he discussed with me that indeed my stomach flab would cause serious issues down the road if not corrected soon.

My stomach surgery would be an Abdominoplasty "Tummy Tuck" "“ Body Contouring Surgery. Most tummy tuck cases not only is the excess skin removed, along with some fat if desired, the abdominal muscles are also tightened. However, with my surgery there will be no muscle tightening. He said my muscles were in phenomenal shape and that he could tell I had been working on them. The only thing he'd be doing would just be removing the excess skin. Sweet!

The full price of my surgery is $7,000 even. I would like to have this surgery done in early/mid June. I must make a 10% down payment on my surgery when I finally decide to have it done. If I do not reach the $7,000 by then, I plan to take out loans and pay for it myself, and use their 6 "“ 12 month CareCredit program with zero interest if paid in full. I know it's a lot, but as a 22 year old full-time student, I can barely afford my bills right now, let alone money for the basic essentials.

If you donate, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You truly don't know how much it means to me. All I want is a happy, healthy body and the only way to keep it healthy besides proper nutrition and exercise is to remove the harm it's causing to itself.

My plastic surgeon's name is Dr. Michael L. Thornton.

The Good, The Bad, and The Flab

This is all skin. All EXCESS skin. It's pretty gross.

The infamous before and after photo. That skin had to go somewhere.
