Fitchburg 2019 Time Capsule Project

As the final celebration of First Parish's 250th year serving the city of Fitchburg, we will be hosting a First Night 2019 event on the Upper Common with livemusic, indoor family activities and a public art display of 500 farolitos on the Common. At this event we will be launching a year-long community time capsule project by placing the first object inside it: a letter to the residents of Fitchburg 250 years from now in the year 2268, just after our city’s 500th birthday. The rest of 2019 will be spent bringing the time capsule around to community events and on display at public projects for items to place inside such as art, music, current history and individual notes and videos to our future Fitchburgers.

We are seeking donations of any size as well as local sponsorships of $50/100/150 from local businesses to support this unique community project. The names and logos of all sponsors will appear in print at all events, on the time capsule itself, with the online information about the display and the time capsule project, and on printed promotional materials throughout the 2019 year.
