Financial medical help Ionut Stroie

Hello my name is Dorin Ionut Stroie. I am 34 years old and I am from Feldioara village, Brasov, Romania. I want to share my story because I am in desperate need of financial help. In autumn of the year 2000, a tragic car accident changed my life forever. One Saturday morning, driving in a car with friends heading home, we were in a tragic accident. I was the one who was injured the most, having fractured my spine. Doctors at Brasov county hospital sent me to Bucharest, to operate on my spine. But the surgery in Bucharest was unsuccessful and it left me paralyzed from the neck down. For 17 years I have only stayed in my home, in bed, fighting for a better life. I have no family that can care for me. My mother left me and my three sisters when we were young and I never knew my father. We were raised by my grandparents. Now 5 years ago my grandmother died and my grandfather died last year, leaving me alone and unable to take care of myself. One of my sisters comes and helps me and she is my guardian. After surgery, the hospital sent me to recover in Bucharest for two months, which helped me a bit. But because of the lack of funds I was unable to finish recovery. Our poverty has become increasingly big. Seven years ago a man with a big heart helped me to fix the roof of the house that I am living in now, but unfortunately, it was just a fix but the damage remained and the roof is now needing to be replaced. I dread thinking about my future, what will happen to me not having possibilities of recovery. Still, I continue to believe that I may have a chance to recover and walk if I could afford to do treatment and physical therapy. But the lack of money keeps me away from treatment.
