Clean Water for Children in Sudan

The women and children of Kajo-Keji South Sudan walk over 2 miles everyday to fetch some water in the stream. Unfortunately the water in the stream is infected with dieseas such as giardia, cholera and amoeba which are very common in the village. I was very shocked to meet a 10 year old in Kajo-Keji during my visit 3 years ago, on the side of the road scooping stagnant water with his hands to quench his thirst. The young boy told me that he was on his way home from school and had little energy to walk to his house which was 3 miles away. The innocence and the smile of this young boy brought me to tears. I offered him an extra bottled water I was carrying and I gave him ride to his house.

Your generous contribution of only $5 or more will have a great impact in the lives of the women and children of Kajo-Keji which has been devastated with the civil war in South Sudan for over 25 years.

My goal is to build two boreholes next year in April, one at the school and the second one at the local hospital to give access of clean water in Kajo-Keji.
