Jack's Surgery Fund

Donation protected
On October 4th, Jack was being his normal, crazy self and decided to sneak out of the screen door and onto our balcony. He has been on the balcony a million times before but unfortunately, for some reason, this time he sprinted directly toward the ledge, jumped, and fell off of our 8th floor balcony. Amazingly, Jack survived the 80 foot fall. He was concious and breathing when we got down there but he was obviously hurt. We rushed him to the emergency vet where they stabilized him, took x rays, and immediately started administering pain medication.
The results from the  x rays were not good. Jack had fractured his L6 vertebrae in his spine and he had also broken 6 of 8 metatarsals (toes) in his back feet. However, there was no internal bleeding or trauma to any organs which was miraculous.
The next morning, Jack went in for a CT scan to get a closer look at his spine. After the CT scan, he immediately went in for surgery. Thankfully, he is now recovering from a successful spinal fusion and is waiting to have surgery on his feet.
We still don't know how functional his legs will be once his spine begins to heal, but as of now we're optimistic and the results so far have been positive.

The cost of his medical bills are substantial but we are willing to do anything we can to get him back to being as normal as possible. He is a truly amazing, loving, and special cat who doesn't deserve any of this.

Any donation helps lessen the hardship of this unexpected cost!

Resting after his spinal surgery.

Our happy, snuggly Jack with his sister Lucy. She can't wait for him to come home!
