Femme Nouveau is a movement where women of all ages can unapologetically express themselves in a society where they have been brought up to act like a lady.
I am raising money for a one-night gallery event taking place at the Center for Arts at the Armory in Somerville MA on Saturday, July 11, 2015 staring at 6:30pm and ending at 10:30pm. This is a free community event for both men and women who rally around the cause of empowering the women in our lives. An array female artists from Boston and surrounding communities will create artwork that answers the question “What does it mean to be an empowered woman in the Boston Community?”
The Arts at the Armory is an ideal venue to hold this event as it has ample space to display artwork such as paintings, sculptures and mixed media art. The space also has a stage, projector, video screen and sound system for other art forms such as video, dance, poetry and burlesque. All artwork will be auctioned off at the end of the night and proceeds will go directly to young woman’s programming at RAW Art Works in Lynn MA. Beer, wine, refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be available during the event.
