Help Renee Get her Dream Job

What do you do when your dream comes true... before you're ready?

When I was five years old, I saw Beauty and the Beast. The characters, story and visuals enthralled me so much, I could recite the entire movie from heart. I thought I wanted to be a princess.

As I grew older and feel in love with animated characters from Ariel to Aladdin to Hercules, I eventually realized my dream wasn't to BE a princess. My dream was to create characters that gave other children those some kinds of feelings.

In pursuit of my dream, I got an art degree and then an MFA in Animation. After 14 months of applying for every scarce job that came open, I finally got into the brutally competitive world of animation. It wasn't my dream job, but it was a start. Lots of people commented on the "coolness" factor of animating for an adult cartoon but, for me, there was something missing. As much as I appreciate and enjoy working in ANY animation job, I've still been yearning for the magic I hope to create for children like once-upon-a-time me.

I figured I'd pay my dues for a few years, learn everything I could, and rebuild my savings (because moving across the country to take my first job + paying back student loans = no money in the bank). So I've been working 2 jobs, putting in about 70 hours a week, and hoping that it would all pay off someday.

But then this happened.

I GOT OFFERED MY DREAM JOB. Bardel Studios, in Vancouver, Canada, offered me a chance to work on an animated TV series based on a recent and very popular Dreamworks film.

Even though I'm not financially set to do this, I can't turn it down.

Even though It means moving out of the country, I can't turn it down.

Even though it means breaking a lease, I can't turn it down.

Even though it means I need to sell all my earthly possessions, I can't turn it down.

Even though I have no idea how to make this happen, I can't turn down my dream job.

Somehow, some way, I have to get from Atlanta to Vancouver in the next 4 weeks. It will take $4000 I don't have to make that move and get established.

That's why I'm asking you to become a part of making my dream come true. I hope to animate Happily Ever Afters for children everywhere -- Will you help me? You'll be my fairy godmother, my genie, and my magic spell all rolled into one with just a small donation to my dreams-come-true moving fund. In return for your kindness, I will send you a signed piece of art.
