Medical fund for Dennis Baker

Dennis Baker has struggled with medical issues for many years. Despite his own issues his heart has always been to help other people. Dennis has been in EMS for over 30 years which is his heart, his passion and his life. Over the past couple if years Dennis has struggled with surgeries that have turn bad but nothing compared to the situation he is in now. On September 5th his wife recieved a horrible call from Dennis who needed her to come home. After his wife April spoke with him she determined he was having a stroke. Dennis was diagnosed with a massive stroke that day and did receive the TPA. However, surgery to allow his brain to swell out was not option because he has a blood clot in his heart. The Dr.'s attempted heparin which caused a bleed on the brain and swelling to occur once again. Again the Dr.'s will not perform surgery to remove to clot nor to relieve the pressure because both are to risky. Currently he is unable to use his right side or speak. Each time the Dr.'s try to address the brain it compromises his heart along with pulmonary edema. As the Dr.'s have said he is in a rock and hard place. Rehab is out of the question at the moment due to watching his heart so closely.

Dennis is an out going person with two small children (11 and 9) that keep him moving. Each weekend it's nothing to see him cheering on either Nathan or Tyler on the ballfield. Even though Dennis can't make it to the games we try to keep him posted on how well the children are doing in either nations or top gun tournaments. The families hope is one day Dennis will conquer this battle and return to helping people in need as well as enjoying a day on the ballfield. We ask that you please pray for us during trying time.
