Farmhouse Manna Cookbook

Donation protected
We are just weeks away from self-publishing our cookbook, FARMHOUSE MANNA ~ Nourishing recipes and rituals for head, heart, hands & soul, and we need your support and love in reaching our monetary
goal for its first printing. See rewards below that include a pre-order of the book!

Our goal is to share our beautiful and heartfelt, hardcover cookbook with our community and beyond, at the lowest price possible. This can be done by ordering a large quantity of books in its initial print run.

From snacks and lunch, to evening gatherings and festivals, Farmhouse Manna will include over forty recipes to inspire new ways for you to use your seasonal, local and organically-grown foods.

Farmhouse Manna shares the beloved recipes of Kimberton Waldorf School's Rosebud Garden.  Each day, delicious aromas envelope the schoolhouse when
making dishes for the children such as, Quinoa Cakes and Oatmeal Bake, to Coconut Curry Chickpeas with Lima Beans & Honey Millet.

"My hope and wish is for you to be creative in your cooking and to feel free to be imaginative, to try new ideas and to explore! I also encourage you to serve food in beautiful ways. While nutritious, organically grown food is an important choice to make when choosing food, it is also important to have joy and delight when sharing a meal. Enjoy!" ~Chinyelu Kunz, Early Childhood Teacher at Kimberton Waldorf School

The photographs on the pages of Farmhouse Manna capture the textures, simplicity and love that embrace the kitchens at Rosebud Garden.

Farmhouse Manna offers more than recipes.  It unveils the inner workings of Rosebud Garden, including the rituals in our daily rhythm centered around the food we prepare and create with the help of the children, serve and eat with joy! From parents to Waldorf educators, our hope is to offer inspiration for strengthening your home or school rituals, or for creating new rhythms and rituals. Inspiration is our goal!

100% of proceeds from sales of the book (after covering any additional printing expenses based on what we raise on gofundme) will benefit the Early
Childhood Programs at Kimberton Waldorf School, located in Kimberton, PA.

"'I'm Hungry!'; a declaration heard in households and classrooms around the world. Indeed, we are literally born hungry. When one thinks about how food nourishes the individual and the community as a full sensory experience, both internally and externally, then how humbling is the 'simple' answer to the cry of 'I’m hungry!'.

As a Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher, a mother, and one who not only adores creating and eating, but also cherishes food, I believe giving ourselves and our children (at home and in the classroom) a fully nourishing experience of food can offer so much well-being, and most especially, reverence.

Reverence for the first, most basic instinct for sustenance, for that sustenance which provides the opportunity not only to survive but to thrive. Because, reverence is one of the most valuable things we can offer and develop within the young child, ourselves, and the world."~Ona Wetherall, Early Childhood Teacher at Kimberton Waldorf School
