Family Victims Of Fire In Cathays

You might've seen in the news on Wales Online, front page of South Wales Echo or the Daily Mirror that a disaster involving a fire at a household in Cathay's Cardiff resulted in 3 people being rushed to hospital and dog passing away as a result of the fire, these people, this family just happen to be very close friends of mine that I've known for a strong 8 years. I'm just going to let everyone know the true account of the story that night just to give an insight of how one fire can ruin a families life..
Now this family has a heart of gold when I had no one they were there, always giving me a place to eat, sleep and gave me warmth when I was homeless, they never said no and always put people before themselves. The morning of the 5th of November they had a boy staying around as he had no where to stay, also homeless and had no one to turn to and they also knew him on and off for many years before. This boy also the age off 22 for one reason or another decided to cause a fire at 4.57am.
My mate Dill woke up to a fire on his bed, quickly getting up he chucked the blanket into the bathtub and starting screaming fire to the rest of his family. They all bolted up to see his whole room ablaze and just making sure everyone was out of the room and was safe before realizing one of the dogs was missing. It was rocky one of the puppy's of the house always jumping up at people full of love for her owners and absolutely loved children!
Rocky always was terrified of fireworks and was hiding under the bed, her 'safe place' as we used to call it from the firework explosions going on outside, she was one of the casualties of that fire. It is heartbreaking. With all the memories and over half of the house was destroyed and the mother who is almost 70 trying to get into the room to save her puppy and ended up burning her hands and one of the sons ended up burning his face and foot just trying to get rocky out of the fire.
The house is completely uninhabitable right now and the worst thing is the mortgage was payed off only just 3 weeks ago which also means the house insurance ran out at the same time. Its so so unfortunate that this would happen to them.
My heart goes out to them, and as part of my support to help, Im looking to raise what funds I can and I would be so grateful for any donations to go towards rebuilding these amazing peoples lives and their house. They deserve all the help they can get. Thank you.
