I honestly don't know how to even start this... I have never had to do anything like this before, and even now, I don't really feel comfortable doing this. Maybe it's just a pride thing, I don't know, but asking for help has never been easy or something I've ever had to do before, but right now me and my family are desperately in need of help.
Our story starts back in the beginning of the year when my husband started having back problems which gradually got worse and worse until he had to go to the doctor. There he was told that he would need therapy, and possibly even surgery, and as a result was put on work restrictions. Because of these restrictions, my husband's employer decided to put him on involuntary medical leave with no pay. So, as a result, since June/July, we've had no income to pay bills. My husband has always worked hard to provide for his family, never called in sick, or even missed a day, but then in the blink of an eye everything changed. He went from being a mechanic and busting his butt to provide, to now he can hardly even walk without pain or support. He hasn't even been able to get the therapy he's needed due to the lack of income, so he just keeps getting worse. It's been tough seeing him go from doing so much, to his current physical state, and him feeling useless.
I have been looking, and applying for jobs with no luck since I was blessed to be a stay at home mom, and never needed to work, I have no "real work experience," so that's made it even harder, because now I feel like I can't even help my own family. This has been very hard, and depressing, on all of us to say the least, but, that's why I'm on here asking for help. We're not asking for much, just hoping to get some help to get us through these next few months while we figure out our next step. Like I said before, I don't like having to do this, I'm asking complete strangers to help us in our time of need, but I don't know what else to do, and really, I have nothing else to lose at this point. We are also on the verge of losing our home that we've lived in for the past 14 years as a result of the ordeal, and all we're asking for is some help to pay our utility bills until we have to leave. If it's possible, and enough is raised, maybe even our home could be saved.
If God puts it on your heart to help us during these difficult times, that would be an amazing blessing, but if not, I'll ask that you at least pray for us. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and may God bless you and your family. Have a blessed Christmas & Happy New Year.
