We are the parents of Joseph Foy (Bear), a beautiful young man who has been taken from us. The reason he has been taken from us is because of drugs; more accurately, Fentanol Heroin. He was our last remaining child as our oldest daughter Laura Lee has also passed away more than a decade ago. We have also lost our granddaughter to murder 4 months ago and our nephew 2 months ago to a drug overdose.
My wife has lost over 3/4 of her family. Her mother and father have passed away, as have her 5 brothers, leaving only 2 brothers and 1 sister alive. All of the losses are hitting her hard, leaving her feeling empty, and this loss is no different. My own daughter is coming down to help.
The reason we are seeking your help is because we aren't the only people to have lost family to this war. We know they are out there and many of them don't have the funds to give their loved ones a proper burial or to give the out of town family a chance to say goodbye.
The funding raised from this endeavor will be put towards supporting the families of victims of those lost to drugs and alcohol. Money will also be put to victim services and the police to try to combat this war.
Please understand that this funding is not for any monetary gain for our family but to be spread among the communities that need it. We ask for your assistance in supporting these families. Any little bit helps and will make a difference to help the growing number of families plaged by drugs and alcohol.
