My name is Donna Harding. I am a Christian and a 1st grade teacher at Columbus Christian Academy.
I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer on February 7, 2015. I am married and have two children, and also am caretaker to my two elderly parents (who have their own medical issues).
I've had a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed, and I will begin chemotherapy this month (March) followed by radiation and hormone therapy.
I am praising the Lord for a good report from the genetic testing which means that I won't have to have any extensive surgeries, and I did not pass the genes to my daughters.
Insurance is covering part of the expenses involved, but there will be additional expenses not covered (co-pays, out-of-pocket, traveling expenses, and additional expenses for my parents' care since my role as caregiver will be uncertain).
