The Foster And Adoptive Parents Association of Lane County(FAAPA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation.
The mission of the Foster and Adoptive Parents Association of Lane County is to strengthen, support, and educate relative and non-relative foster and adoptive parents who enrich the lives of the children they serve.
The goals of FAAPA are:
*To provide information and a network of resources to families.
*To encourage community awareness and education through collaboration and partnerships with other organizations.
*To cultivate relationships between families through peer support, social activities, and events.
*To offer quality training and educational opportunities to parents.
*To assist families with emergent needs and to supplement enrichment opportunities.
FAAPA is run by a small number of Foster and Adoptive parents, and community members who vollunteer their time to serve local families. FAAPA is a huge resource for families, and the only of it's kind in the Lane County community. The Foster and Adpotive Parent association relies soley on donations and occational grants. Please help FAAPA meet the needs of children right here in our community.
