DFW Novel Coronavirus Crisis Relief for Wuhan City

Dear friends,

As many of you may know, the number of infected people and casualties have been climbing fast since the outbreak of the recent Novel Coronavirus in the city of Wuhan, China. At the time of this writing, the death toll has exceeded one hundred. The city of Wuhan and surrounding cities are in a lockdown state. Hospitals are flooded with sick patients and healthcare systems are overwhelmed. 

 

Many hospitals are running out of essential medical supplies such as face masks, protective goggles, medical gowns, disinfectants, etc. Doctors, nurses, and medical staff are in great danger as they treat a surge of newly infected patients. Millions of residents in Hubei Province are isolated at home, experiencing great hardship.

 

This urgent time calls for urgent actions. The North Texas Hubei Association, Wuhan University Alumni Association, joined with the ACP ("American Chinese Professionals") Foundation, teamed up by more than 60 community organizations, are calling for donations and efforts to fight Novel Coronavirus. So far, the group has successfully distributed disinfectants to three hospitals in Wuhan. A shipment of 10,000 medical gowns, 35,000 face masks, 1,875 protective  goggles are on the way to Hubei Province. Another large shipment are in the warehouse ready to be shipped. 

 

We are in great need for more donations to help in this humanitarian crisis. All money raised will be spent to purchase medical supplies for Wuhan and other cities in Hubei Province.
