Shaileigh's Medical Equipment Fund

My name is Jason Howard. I'm a 28 year old Certified Management Accountant who works at Federated Co-operatives Limited in Saskatoon, SK.

As you may or may not know, over the weekend, an Edmonton man and his family had their van stolen. In this van was the medical of equipment of his daughter, Shaleigh. Shaleigh has cerebral palsy and requires a specialized wheelchair, car seat, and walker to function each day. Unfortunately, this equipment was located in the van at the time of the theft. The equipment is estimated to be worth $15,000.

I feel compelled to help out as the likelihood of the equipment being returned is rather low.

I've emailed the author of the news story and am waiting to hear back from her. Hopefully, she'll be willing to mention this campaign in her article. I'll also be in touch with Shaleigh's father, Phillip Hulmes, as soon as possible.

Edit: The vehicle and its contents have been found! Unless I hear any opposition from the donors (I'll contact each of them), the money will still go to the family. I still require the fathers contact information. If anyoine has this information, please forward it to me.

Edit 2: I was mistaken. The walker, which is valued at approximately $10,000 is still missing. Hopefully, these donations will help cover the replacement of the walker! On another note, I spoke with Phil today over the phone. He was extremely grateful and thanked all of you for your generousity. He said that he was overwhelmed by the support. Between the two of us, we've determine how the money will be transferred to him.
