Hi, we are Pedro and Mirjana. We are raising funds to pay for the continued medical treatment of our good friend Milos.
On August 11 Milos was diving in Montenegro, an activity he often took part in, when a child in an inner tube appeared in the trajectory of his dive. In order to avoid a collision, Milos twisted his body mid-dive and landed head first in shallow water.
Because of this, Milos has been left quadraplegic. It truly is sad that such an active young man has been left in a state of almost permanent repose. Despite his new found handicap, Milos has stayed positive and smiling through it all.
Unfortunately, Milos is from a small town in Montenegro where his family is unable to produce enough money to save him, even though they are getting ready to sell the family home.
The hospital in Montenegro where he is currently staying is completely unequipped to handle the continuance of his care. The doctors all have reccomended that he continue said care in a specialized hospital in Switzerland, but the costs are enormous, or at least daunting for Milos' humble family, which is what has led us to GOFUNDME.
Please help us save Milos. Though in all probability he may never walk again, through your help and compassion, we can at least work towards getting him off life support and into a wheelchair, where he can regain some measure of the independence he values so much.
