Jules' Vet Bill and Burial

Jules who was born on April 12, 2014 was an amazing little soul. She was a very old soul in a little body. Her mother was Boots the injured mare
that chose to live at the house instead of staying with her band. Boots passed away six weeks after Jules was born. She was "adopted" by Trucker
and Amy, a young stallion and his first mare. It was amazing to watch how they watched over her, you would have thought she was their daughter.
Her life was cut short on Friday Sept 26th, 2014. While grazing with Amy and Trucker she got her rear leg tangled in something and while trying to free
herself, she broke her leg. I had a vet come out to see if the leg could be set, but the damage was too severe. I made the decision to have her put
down. She was in a lot of pain. It was a very hard decision to make, I thought maybe there was something that could be done to save her. She was
very special just like her mother. Jules managed to get back to the garage, her safe place, where she could feel her mothers energy.
I could feel Boots in the garage with her. As soon as she passed they left together. Some souls don't plan on staying long in body and her time
was up. I got to watch, and enjoy her brave little spirit for five months. She is now back with her mother.
Trucker and Amy took it very hard. They spent Friday night and Saturday morning with her body. When the backhoe arrived the horses followed
it to the location where Jules was to be buried. They stood and watched beside me until it was complete, then they left for a while. They have
been back several time standing near the grave. Other bands that have come in for water go to the grave site and stand.
Jules will be missed.
Spirit of the Wild Horse is in need of assistance in paying the vet bill which was $530. It was hard to get a vet to come up on the mesa. Donations would be greatly appreciated.
