Recording my new CD

My name is Theresa Eaman and I was born to sing.  Not just in the shower or car, but sing to make people smile, cry and feel happy.  Because of the music I like to sing, I spend a lot of time singing for veterans and senior centers, as well as having a small business singing at airshows.  I recognize that I'm getting old and I'd like to have a good recording of my voice and songs before it's time to let younger singers take over.  This may be my last CD and I want to do it right; the way I've always dreamed it should be!

12 years ago I recorded a CD  of songs with pre-recorded tracks, but I've always dreamed of recording my own CD with other mucisians in a real studio.  Plus, many people have been asking me to record again.  Real life has a way of taking over and so I never had the funds or opportunity to do it the right way.  Now that my children are grown and I'm encouraging them to follow their dreams, I realize that I need to "lead by example" and follow my own.  I've been in contact with an amazing studio and engineer in CA who is willing to work with me and I'm ready to make this a reality. 

I'm asking for 10K to cover the many hidden expenses that go into the creation of this cd, including:

*    Travel from NC to CA
*    Lodging in CA for duration of recording (up to 2 wks)
*    Session rate for  musicians (per musician)
*    Payment for licensing of 12 songs through ASCAP
*    Studio usage fees
*    Mixing fees
*    Mastering Fees
*    CD Production/Printing

My goal is to have a CD to sell and to have to give to elder-care facilities and veterans organizations to use for their residents etc.

I will run the campaign for two months and hope to make my goal.  Please don't think that you have to make a large donation. Even $5 helps pave the way to achieving the goal. No amount is too small !
