Help during the MedicareCoverageGap
Donation protected
Some of you know me, some may not. My name is Jason. I am a young man who is trying to live on a disability payment of $700/month. I have a nerve disease called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy [RSD] also referred to as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome [CRPS] [more info here: http://www.rsdhope.org/what-is-crps.html ]
It leaves me in constant, dibilitating pain among the other symptoms. Despite that, I try to help others, try to stay active, try to do what I can. The meds help some, but even with them, I can't do a lot.
The meds are important. But every year, the "doughnut hole" "coverage gap" threshold seems to change. This year, I have managed to find myself in that gap 2 month's earlier than prevous years. My medication costincreased 5 times.
That obviously causes problems when your fixed income is $700, and the meds cost a few hundred, then rent and food ... well it forces you to make some hard choices.
If I can't get some extra help, I will have to rapidly [at an "unsafe" pace] reduce my medication doses, and ration them so that I can make 1 bottle last for 2 months instead of 1 month. That is the only way to make it affordable.
That though, comes with other issues. The nerve disease will flare, the rapid change in dose will cause withdrawls/side effects that can be dangerous, and I will be able to do even less.
That is why I am asking for help. I hate asking for help with money. I try to budget and spend wisely. I would rather help a family member or close friend meet their needs than buy myself that new movie or game or new shoes. But it is at a point now that I have no option but to ask for help.
The amount I am asking for, my goal, will be enough to cover the doughnut hole/coverage gap costs for my meds for the rest of the year. There would be a little left over to help on anything I am behind on [like my yard work bill, paying the guy who helps do my yard]
Any amount will help. Please consider helping, consider spreading the word on line and off line. I also would accept help via bitcoins [BTC] just ask the btc address.
Thanks for considering and reading, and hopefully helping!
