A little bit goes a long way

Laura and I have been friends since 1996. I have known this family for well over 20 years. Brian and Laura are amazing people with the biggest hearts I know. Laura, a stay at home mom, has not worked for several years caring for their childrenand family and Brian is a first responder. They are both always there to help anyone in need, however they can. Now they are the ones in need of support and I’m trying to do anything I can to get it for them. Two years ago they received the devastating news no parent should ever have to hear, their youngest was diagnosed with cancer. Since then they have been carrying a heavy load. They have exhausted all their means financially and have been struggling just to try and stay afloat. With their 7 year old daughter now in remission and his other daughter beingasthmatic, COVID was a fear for the family. Brian in his line of work as a first responder and being on the frontline decided to live in a camper for the first 3 months of the pandemic. Even with all the precautions taken, Brian living in a camper, not having visitors, wearing masks, pulling the kids from school, etc. COVID still found its way into their lives. In December Brian and his 2 daughters tested positive for COVID. And now,Chloe’s recent COVID diagnosis has triggered more serious neurological and muscular issues which is requiring a lot of medical attention resulting in new expenses. With all the bad breaks in life over the past few years, it has come to my attention how truly stressed this family is now and how it is pushing them to a breaking point. The instability is killing them, they need room to breathe and find their balance again. So if you can find it in your hearts to help them all out with support and prayers most of all it would be greatly appreciated. A Little Bit Goes a Long Way.

For those of you following Chloe, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support, prayers, and love. Although I would like to update date you on something positive, unfortunately that is not the case at this time. Two years post cancer diagnosis, surgeries, and chemo treatments; Chloe is still battling (what exactly) the doctors are not sure. Chloe is experiencing extreme neuropathy pain in her legs, extreme bouts of stomach pain, and involuntary muscles spasms throughout her body daily. We are currently working with specialists in neurology, oncology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, physical therapists, our pediatrician, and now we will be adding occupational therapy. Due to the complexity of Chloe’s case, further testing is required to get to the bottom of the possible repercussions of any damage done from chemo treatments, surgeries, and most recently covid diagnosis.
Recently, Chloe’s mom has been unable to work to care for Chloe. Chloe’s dad has been unable to consistently work his 2nd job that fills in the financial gaps to provide for his family of five in order to bring Chloe to the specialists needed at this time. Still having not been able to completely catch up on medical expenses, etc. since the original diagnosis, this is causing increasing undue hardships on them financially once again. If you are able to contribute their family would be beyond grateful, but most importantly please keep Chloe and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Updates will be forthcoming as we continue this journey.
