Cambodia Fundraising

Hello! Our names are Sarah, Stella and Billie and we are Beerwah SHS seniors who are completing AIN qualifications through the Health Education Unit at Kawana Waters State College. This June we are heading off on an exciting trip to Cambodia to teach English and hygiene and to donate reusable feminine hygiene products to young girls. We will connect with small villages and assist with English lessons in small schools set up by an Australian based organisation ‘Growing Cambodia’ and an international organisation ‘Days for Girls’. Many girls do not attend school or work when they have their periods because they cannot afford to purchase sanitary protection in fact many children do not have access to basic hygiene such as soap and a toothbrush. When they are not at school many children find themselves sitting on bare dirt. People in Cambodia often become ill as they do not have access to health facilities. We have been provided the opportunity to make positive impact in the lives of children and families in desperate need of assistance. 

We would love your help with fundraising, to allow us to get to Cambodia to teach valuable lessons and and provide these young children with opportunity’s that they wouldn’t have otherwise. Your contribution to the cause will help us participate in the international volunteer program and is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact globally.
