Robotic arm

Hi I am Ellie-may’s mum Abbie , I hate to have to ask but we can’t do this with out your help .

As many people are aware on 14th December 2021 Ellie-may was knocked off her motorbike by a tipper lorry and sustained numerous life changing injuries, including a stroke , seizures, brain injury, 13 fractures, torn artery in her neck and one in her leg , she had a punctured lung collapsed lung a blood clot on her lung , 15cm of bone missing in her leg and a brachial plexus injury, this is where all five nerves were pulled from her spinal cord and now will never have the use of it again but this robotic arm will help keep her muscles moving to stop it deteriorating and withering, it will also stop her hand from turning inwards the specialist have opted for amputation but Ellie-may is not ready for that,

How this robotic arm works is signals from the brain which the sensors on the robotics will pick up and then help move her arm and fingers it really will make such a difference for her especially keeping her arm normal looking and with movement!

she has been through so much and to keep her arm looking normal as possible means a lot to her ,

amputating her arm would affect her mentally and I am not sure that is something she could cope with.
