Help us build a MUGA
Donation protected
We live on a small rural island on the west coast of Scotland - the island of Gigha. The Parent Council has been working with the community Trust and Active Schools to try and increase opportunities for our children to participate in sports and physical activities. Currently, Gigha doesn't have any suitable or secure places to play sports. There are many green spaces, however none of these are flat, dry, or accessible enough to enable football or any other sports to take place. Our school does not have a sports hall, but only a tiny uneven playground.
We would like to build a modest Multi-use Games Area (MUGA) on the island, so our children can play games like football, tennis and basketball. This MUGA will benefit our whole community, providing a vital facility to enable our residents to participate in sports and activities which will support both physical and mental wellbeing. It will promote progression, participation, equality, and social inclusion for everyone.
We are applying for funding to help bring this project to life, however we need your help bridging the funding gap. We will be doing fundraising activities during the year, so keep an eye on the Gigha Noticeboard page. Any donations will be gratefully received. Your support is very much appreciated! Thank you.
