Cheyanne's Surgery

Meet Cheyanne!  Cheyanne (3 y.o., female pit mix) was brought to the shelter this week by two people who said they found her.  They stated that she "has an infection."  W e quickly found out that indeed Cheyanne was having a medical issue.  She had severe diarrhea and was straining to go to the bathroom.  Cheyanne was taken to the vet where she received an ultrasound of her digestive tract to find the problem.  A foreign object is in her colon.  The doctor was confident that Cheyanne would pass the foreign body with supportive care since the object has already passed through the smallest parts of the digestive tract .  It has been 4 days and that hasn't happened.  The doctors now believe there is something attached to the foreign body that is hung up somewhere in the digestive tract and it won't allow her to pass the part in her colon.  Cheyanne needs surgery and she needs it as soon as possible.  Cheyanne is straining to try and pass the object in her colon so much that she is now prolapsing her rectum. 

A doctor is standing by to do the surgery which may have a final cost of $5000 but they require a $2500 deposit to do the surgery.  This is truly an urgent matter and her surgery needs to be done as soon as possible. 

When my daughter, Melinda,  and I began fundraising for animals, we did it because we did not want an animal to suffer or die because of money.  Cheyanne does not deserve to be euthanized because of money.  Please help her.  As soon as we raise $2500 we can take Cheyanne over to the hospital to have her surgery.
