UGANDA CHURCH VAN PROJECT

Donation protected
Pastor Steven from Philadelphia Christian Centre in Uganda Africa came to America 5 years ago, was seeking to partner with other churches in America. Abundant Living HD was the only church that responded.

After meeting him we knew we had to help him. We began to send a money gram of $500 a month to feed the people in the city and in the surrounding jungle.  Now, what you must understand is that the $500 you give converts to $1.3 million in their money.  The food program is the lifeline of their church in this extremely hard time. The government has a food program, but it does not compare with the one the church does,

With your financial support, they have been able to buy food to distribute to the neediest single moms, widows, and Muslims in the community after they share the gospel with them.

Currently to distribute the food they have been struggling with transportation.

And that is because they depend on friends to lend them their vehicles to transport the food to the distribution points.

The challenge begins with the fact that the vast majority of Ugandans don't own private cars and therefore depend on public transport which is dominated by the Muslims who are able to buy and use commuter vehicles, vans, from the funding they get from Muslim countries.

Before COVID, public transportation was affordable as the general public depended on it to get around, including 98 percent of the people they reach out to and pastor in their churches across the country. So, people depend on privately owned vehicles to get around.

Now with The Standard Operating procedures of social distancing everywhere including transportation that now demands that public transport vehicles, buses, vans, etc. carry half the capacity, it makes transport so costly for the average Ugandan, cannot afford it.

With the Coronavirus there are lockdowns, and social distancing and that has complicated how people get around. As Pastor Steven and the church looks to the post-COVID future and the challenges it will bring, they understand they must think outside the box like we at ALFCHD are doing.

In their situation, they are believing God for a church transport van and eventually buses if they are going to see people continue to come to church while also providing affordable transportation to everyone. This will allow them to generate much-needed income. A van can even double as an ambulance in the community.

We in this country have been blessed beyond measure. We have been blessed, so let us be a blessing to others.

 2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
