Boof needs a new car!

Doação protegida

We all know Richard 'Boof' Jones and most of us are aware that on the Sunday the 3rd of May he had a bad accident while cutting wood.

Boof has severely injured his spine and is currently at the Austin Hospital Spinal Unit in Melbourne. We all know Boof as friendly outgoing guy who loves life and loves his family. Boof has always been quick to lend a hand and has done so much for so many.

Boof spends his spare time in a number of physical pursuits including Bike Riding, Martial Arts and going up to his property. This makes the realisation that he is now wheel chair bound so much harder to hear.

Considering his injuries, Boof will need a new car that can be modified for him to drive, so this campaign is to help raise funds for that.

Please give generously, we have all seen how a little from many people can make a huge difference and this is absolutely a chance to give back to someone who wouldn't hesitate to do the same for us.

Many members of the Tasmanian Martial Arts Community have been friends with Boof for a long time. Boof has made his presence known in the Karate world, in Judo, in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in Boxing and in Mixed Martial Arts. As such Hobart Martial Arts Academy will be holding a fund raiser day on Saturday the 13th of June. There will be several guest instructors on the day including Tasmania's first BJJ Black Belt Adam Newton, Tasmania's MMA and Judo legend Priscus Fogagnolo, HMAA Muay Thai Coach Mat Stennings, HMAA BJJ Coach Gerry Young to name just a few. Make sure to keep your eye out for this event and support it as much as you can.
