Transplant funds for Nathanael

Nathanael was born with Biliary Atresia in 2002.  When he was diagnosed he had a life saving surgery called a Kasai to help extend his time before he needed a liver transplant.  We were told at most he would make it until he was 2 years old before needing a new liver.  Nathanael is not one to do things the "typical" way and he showed them.  He is now 17 and has been sick since June 28th as his liver is failing.  He was hospitalized in Dec 2019 and was being worked up for a liver transplant at OU Medical Center in OKC when they found he was also born with a Congenital Heart Defect.  Nathanael will need a more specialized liver and heart team at transplant time.  His team in Oklahoma have referred him to Texas Children's Center liver team in Houston.  The family will need to travel to Houston very soon to have him worked up for transplant there.  There will be many trips from Jones, OK to Houston, TX over the course of him being listed and finally getting a transplant.  These are not expenses his family were prepared for.    If you can not donated we fully understand, we would not want to ask anyone to donated when they can't.  But if you can we truly appreciate it.  

These funds will only be used for travel and lodging in relation to Nathanael's medical appointments in Houston.   We hope to have a few weeks before we need to travel to Houston but we know Nathanael's liver is very sick and he has been hospitalized 4 times since June 28th and time is not on our side. 

We appreciate all the prayers everyone has been sending up for Nathanael since his illness started getting worse.  It has meant the world to us to know Nathanael has suck a mighty army on his side.
