Tourettes & I - Short Drama Film Post Production

After the success of our last GoFundMe for our movie PsychoPath, Movie Making Media want to gain awareness for Tourette Syndrome, A lesser known neurological disorder which causes "tics" uncontrolled noises, psychical movements and in severe case swearing due to a miscommunication from the brain. This impacts over a thousand people in the world.

Director / Co-Writer Jack RH O'Sullivan has had this condition since birth and has spent all 26 years learning to adapt to living with it, going through positives and struggles which have impact him and turned him into the filmmaker he is today. For his tenth short film as Director he knew after the success of PsychoPath, it was time to use the festivals to gain awareness for Tourettes with a social awareness drama.

Teaming up with Will J Spires, they wrote a 17 page script which caught the attention of the cast and crew and had  an emotional connection formed due to it. 

O'Sullivan will direct this coming of age drama film based on events in his life living with Tourettes mixed with fictional characters inspired by people in his life.

Our budget will go to costumes, food, locations, Post - Production and Festivals in order to help make this movie the best we can in order to give others with TS a way to gave their words heard. We will also be having people with TS record or be recorded filming video messages about their experiences with Tourettes which will play amongst the closing credits. Our lead actor Ashton Cooper also has Tourettes and is also very passionate about getting awareness and agrees festivals will help do that by attracting people to the story of the film, and the emotions they will experience.

This film is an intimate emotional coming of age drama based on true events and will show the struggles and positives of the condition as we experience a day in the life of someone with TS as our main character Liam goes to a job interview and tries to fit in.,

'I had to tell this story now, it was vital to me that we get that awareness, I grew up with bullies, and stress, and discrimination, and its so important we prevent that happening to others.'
