We're FIRST robotics team TnT 280 from Taylor, Michigan! Since our founding in 1998, we have been building robots, helping the community, inspiring students, and creating a brighter future.
Running a robotics team isn't a cheap activity, with previous year's estimated costs being up to $50,000 including materials, food, travel, lodging, and event registration. This year, it's gotten more expensive: the Michigan State Championship competition has been moved from the commutable Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti to the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids. We must now come up with the money to lodge our entire team and book charter busses for four days, which totals over $15,000.
That's why we're asking for your help. We won the Chairman's Award, the most prestegious award FIRST offers, which means we have a spot on the MSC. However, that award does not cover the registration, travel, food, or transport costs. Going to the competition will truly be an amazing experience for everyone on the team, and you can be sure that every cent donated goes to an amazing cause.
