One of the good ones has left us! Our community lost a kind, caring, giving, funny, selfless, hardworking and thoughtful person when Jim passed away on 10/30/19. He was a friend to many. He was a son and a brother. But the roles he cherished most were that of husband and father.
The passion he had for his family and for sports showed in many of his actions. He played football from an early age. He attended college on a football scholarship. It was when he was playing football at North Central College that he met his true love, Cathy. He continued to play football even after Trevor was born.
Trevor, Gianna and Mia inherited his love of and talent for sports. Jim became an essential part of all of his children’s sports; soccer, baseball, basketball and softball. Jim was a coach, a spectator and a mentor. He worked behind the scenes to insure the success of the clubs his children participated in as well.
Jim was computer genius. He used his gift to design websites and correct computer problems for businesses and friends. He was an integral part of creating, starting and growing The Sparta Dome. His desire to help people never wavered, even when he was in constant pain.
Cathy, Trevor, Gianna, and Mia have suffered a devastating loss with Jim’s passing. As you know, Jim endured many medical tests, treatments, doctor visits and hospital stays in recent years. To help ease this financial burden for his family, we are asking that you now give to someone who has always been such a giver. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!
