Help rebuild homes for Nepalis
Donation protected
On April 25, 2015, Nepal was hit by a devastating earthquake that measured 7.9 on the Richter scale. The quake leveled beautiful historic sites, homes across the country, and left over 4,000 dead. This page is to fundraise to rebuild the homes of several people who are now destitute. Myself, and my mother Ellen Coon, will make sure that all of the money reaches those who need it, and that it cannot be embezzled by corrupt officials.
The first woman we will support is Shova Bista, a widow who has a small house in Godavari village that she managed to build with a lifetime of washing dishes. It completely collapsed and she is sleeping in a field.
The second is Rita Chitrakar, whose 80 plus year old home in Naradevi is now uninhabitable, and the third is Dinesh Tuladhar in Bungamati, who escaped his collapsing house by jumping out of a window.
If funds allow we would love to rebuild for a fourth family in Bhaktapur. In the future, we will also be seeking the right channel for donations to rebuild some of the temples and shrines we have lost.
Jai Nepal.
