Our son Xavier Buda is 10 years old and has severe dyslexia and a learning disablity. After years of falling behind in public school, we sent Xavier to a summer school program at Eagle Hill Private School in Southport, CT, which is a school designed to properly educate children with special educational needs. After Xavier's second summer enrolled in Eagle Hill's summer school camp, we saw such great improvements in his reading and self esteem that we only saw fit to take the expensive and risky chance at applying for a scholarship for full time enrollment. Our family was graciously awarded $28,000 for him to attend the $40,000 a year school. We need to fund $6,500 of his tuition by September 1, 2012 to start enrollment in the fall. Xavier is eager to learn in an environment that suits the way he learns with other children that have the same needs and to avoid being bullied by his peers for being behind. Please take this time to consider donating whatever you might see fit to help our child get the education he so desperately needs and deserves so he can have a brighter future.
