SOS Haltwhistle Boardwalkers future

Hello I'm Jonathan, I'm fundraising for our local amateur drama group who raise money from their performances, then donate monies back to good charitable causes in our isolated community. We are a group of individuals of all ages and backgrounds who perform to enrich our rural community. Since 2019 we haven't been able to perform due to the COVID lockdowns and our host venue being refurbished with an unworkable stage. All the lighting, scenery, curtains and sound equipment was removed. As we relied heavily upon these assets and always gave our monies away we are now in a very disadvantaged position. We need to raise money in order that we have our own equipment, and also provide our host venue with curtains that enables school children and visiting groups to use the stage given that there is no other venue in our rural location. The group has been quoted 13k alone to equip the stage with stage bars and curtains, this is before the group purchase their own assets to enable growth. It is essential that we raise monies in order that once again we can perform, self sustain and develop a venue for all to use in our rural community.
